With a heritage deeply-entrenched in the traditions and sciences of the sea, the high-end Italian watchmaker Officine Panerai, showcases once again its long standing solidarity with the Dubai International Boat Show 2013 as the supporting partner for the 8th year in a row.

The 21st Dubai International Boat Show is the main platform to showcase the wide range of boats in the GCC, with the latest innovations, world premieres and regional launches, attracting over 750 companies from more than 49 countries. Over 26,000 visitors, 5,000 VIPs and high net worth individuals are expected to be present at this prestigious marine event.

Following the tradition, Panerai continues to be the sponsor of the VIP registration lounge, creating a marine like oceanic atmosphere inspired by the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge, the international route of regattas for the Classic and Vintage sailing boats, sponsored by Panerai since 2005.

The dedicated Panerai area provided exclusive visitors with a distinctive chance to get familiarized with the latest Panerai watches, including some exceptional innovations as well as some rare and sought-after novelties.

Panerai’s continuous association with the region’s most desired boating show is a reflection of  the brand’s naval heritage that dates back to 1930’s. Back then, Panerai was the provider of high accuracy devices and time pieces to the Royal Italian Navy, mainly to ensure that all the special underwater diving corps’ needs are well covered.

The Dubai International Boat Show took place at the Dubai International Marine Club, Mina Seyahi from March 5 to March 9. The aim of this year’s event is to appeal to an exceptional host of boat specialists, sea lovers, collectors and marine fans from various parts of the globe.

About Officine Panerai

Officine Panerai was founded in Florence in 1860 as a watch-making establishment, shop and school; for years it supplied the Italian Navy with precision timepieces, particularly to cover the needs of the special underwater diving corps. The projects it worked on at the time, including the Luminor and Radiomir watches, were covered by the military secrets act for years and Panerai watches were launched on the international market after the Richemont group purchased the brand in 1997. Today, Officine Panerai develops and manufactures its watches and movements in Neuchâtel, combining Italian design and history with Swiss watch-making know-how. Panerai watches are sold all over the world through an exclusive network of distributors in addition to its boutiques worldwide.
