THE 2013 FESTIVAL DE LA PLAISANCE DE CANNES

Famed for glitz, glamour and international premieres this event has taken place between 10th and 15th of September on the glittering Bay of Cannes.

Arguably the most prestigious event on the yachting calendar, the Festival de la Plaisance de Cannes– the Cannes Boat Show is Europe’s leading in water boat show and the first international exhibition on the boat show calendar.

Spread over the Vieux Port and the Port Pierre Canto, the show has offered over 550 boats on display, built by the leading shipyards. The Vieux Port has showcased inspiring new models and products over the six day event, with a mix of motor boats and sailing boats ranging from 8 to 50 metres in the water and smaller boats, parts manufacturers and service companies positioned on the land.

With more than 50% of foreign exhibitors coming from 34 countries, this Festival has established itself firmly on the yachting calendar as a renowned international boat show. Unique showcase for pleasure boats and luxury yachts worldwide, the Festival de la Plaisance de Cannes enjoys a reputation which now extends beyond European borders attributed to the quality of products, exhibitors and international visitors which flock to the Festival every year. Just in Cannes, in fact, has officially born the “new” brand “Ferretti”, a new brand with three different kinds of offer, in order to better answer to the Group’s ship-owners demand. The brand Ferretti offers now three different products collection and precisely: Ferretti Yachts, motor yacht from 15 meters to 29 meters of length; Ferretti Custom Line, flybridge boats in fibreglass, of a length in between the 26 and 38 meters, belonging to the gliding line and Ferretti Navetta, boats of the collection semi-displacing Navetta 26 Crescendo and Navetta 33 Crescendo. The offer includes every communication axis in a clear and distinguishing way orienting to the final customer, the same for the websites available in different languages, with presence in social networks and through the Global Brand Managers’ work. A growing of fidelity program very ambitious that goes through the digital web television, aiming to create a Ferretti’s brand culture in the final costumer. On the other hand, they aren’t to be neglected, participations to the most interesting international events, such as the Hong Kong Boat Show.

During the 36th edition of the Festival International del la Plaisance, the Group presented the worldwide previews Ferretti Yachts 960, Ferretti Yachts 750 and Pershing 62’, apart from a selection of the most successfully models. Riva, iconic brand by Ferretti Group, has put on show some of the most famous ships from the open collection: Iseo, Aquariva Super, Rivarama Super and 63’ Virtus, apart from 86’ Domino from the Coupé collection.

Ferretti Yachts has presented the 960, the biggest plane pleasure ship ever projected and realized by the historical Group’s brand; 96 feet with a sporting profile and with maximum performance of the category with innovative space projects and design solutions. CE approved under 24 meters deep, the new boat brings on the planning development line undertaken in these last years by the brand, optimizing its concepts and contents with the aim of realizing a product without parallels in its category. This is the base philosophy of the new flagship, entirely constructed in the Ferretti Group’s manufacturing factory in Cattolica.

Ferretti Yachts 750 represents the evolution of the flybridge line over the 70 feets. 22,75 meters long all inclusive and of a maximum length of 5,7 meters, Ferretti Yachts 750 represents the evolution of the already appreciated Ferretti 720, one of the most recently and successfully models of the brand, and characterizes itself for several innovations that, compared to the previous model, renew both the external appearance and the on-board decoration; dedicated to a dynamic and sophisticated clientele, who loves the unmistakable Made in Italy style that thanks to the various projecting solutions the Ferretti yachts’ carpenters can grant.

Pershing, Ferretti Group’s brand among the principal worldwide high performance open yachts’ producers of from 15 to 35 meters long boats, has presented in the end Pershing’62.
