L’Hôtel des Ventes de Genève embraced a major characteristic of Art Nouveau putting up for auction, from 24 to 27 September, more than 2,000 lots with an estimated total value of CHF 2 to 3 million. All forms of decorative art were represented: from silverware, tableware, furniture, carpets, rare books, vintage haute couture, military, paintings, jewels and watches… Indigenous art and Asian art also played a prominent role. The sales ended with a total result of CHF 3.1 million.
