The International Home & Bijoux Show in Milan changes its dates while confirming January’s digital novelty and the support to trade operators’ business
Preparations for the 95th Macef are in full swing, after the recent edition (closed on January, 27) which had – despite the economic trend and the perpetration of economic difficulties at international level, a 3.5% growth of visiting operators and unanimous approval of the exhibitors’ proposals , confirming its fundamental rule, with over 90,000 visitors.
For September edition the traditional formula of the exhibiting areas is confirmed : 4 macro sectors (Home Decor; Table & Kitchenware; Gifts; Bijoux) , together with Creazioni and L’ Opera Italiana , the two areas devoted to Italian Style , Design and the excellence of “made in italy”.
Not to forget the Bijoux area with three halls entirely devoted to the world of costume jewels and fashion accessories, where the best proposals for next seasons are to be found.
Brand new are the dates: Macef will take place from 12 till 15 September, so one week later than the usual schedule, so to have a much better positioning in the panorama of European fairs.
The last day of the International Home Show will be held simultaneously with Mipel, International Leather goods Show, and Micam, Footwear Show: an important synergy with the sector of Macef fashion accessory and bijoux that creates new and interesting business opportunities for visiting buyers.
Strategies and guidelines for September are currently being defining: “ it is very important to continue to exalt the history and values of Macef, but at the same time is necessary to support and create for exhibiting companies and visitors new services and projects “ says Cristian Preaiata, the new Macef Exhibiton Manager since February, 1.
“This the reason why the organisation of workshops and meetings in January were very successful – continue Cristian Preiata – as well as the launch of the new Macef+ platform” , the digital exhibition created to give buyers and companies the opportunity to widen their contact network and commercial relations for about 30 days after the end of the exhibition.
This first edition of Macef + started on February, 4 and lasts end of March. More than 500 companies took part at the platform , while buyers are in continuous growth: more than 9.432 registered operators, 1.457 of whom coming from abroad (figures at march,18), with average visit of 9 minutes and more than 215,000 page views. Thanks to Macef+, buyers and businesses can best optimize their presence at the Show for over a month, after the “physical fair” , by multiplying contacts and opportunities.
For September edition Macef has put a very important focus to the services for supporting operators. This project certainly includes workshops, meetings, and all training activities and discussions that we have held in the last two exhibitions (which proved to be very stimulating for all participants) and of course, a new edition of Macef +.
