“Next Jeneration”
“Next Jeneration – Jewellery Talent Contest 2013”, is the international competition that awards the ideas of young under-30s talent organised in collaboration with Milan Polytechnic’s School of Design.
The theme of the contest was a “Porte Bonheur”. The young designers were asked to design a contemporary item able to represent jewellery’s age-old use as an amulet or talisman. The international Jury, led by Gijs Bakker, designer and founder of Droog Design, awarded first prize to Francesco Decio for his “Omnia” design; Stefania Spairani came second with “Labyrinths” and Alice McLean took third place with her “Gold Allure”. And this out of 120 designers from Italy and abroad who entered this second edition of the Contest.
