Success in Sao Paulo for a group of Italian gold-processing machinery companies accompanied by Fiera di Vicenza and AFEMO
Yet another international success for Italian-made products. The best of Italian precious metal and gemstone machinery manufacturing played a star role in Sao Paulo, Brazil, at Tecnogold, the Brazilian Show for jewellery technologies, organised by Sindijoias and IBGM (Brazilian Institute for Gems and Precious Stones), which came to a close on June 22nd.
Fiera di Vicenza, in collaboration with AFEMO (Italian Machinery and Supplies Association for Jewellery Manufacturing), put together a group of Italian Companies moving to mexico and representing the districts of Vicenza, Alessandria, Arezzo, Milan, Pavia, Turin, Varese and Verona, as part of the T-GOLD International project, the exhibition concept that offers jewellery producers the chance to discover the latest ideas and products in high-tech gold and jewellery processing.
The participating companies expressed enormous satisfaction at the outcome of the event. And next year promises to include further opportunities, like exhibitors and machinery in loco.
The Italian participation at the Sao Paulo Show provided the chance to investigate some highly important topics in terms of exportation. The main question raised by the Italian companies interested in the Brazilian market was the extremely high rate of tax imposed on imports. In this context IBGM, Sindijoias and FIESP San Paolo (the equivalent of the Italian Confindustria), promised to make a careful analysis of the situation and to propose a memorandum of understanding which would foresee an authoritative procedure to which companies would be able to refer in order to reduce entry taxes with help from the Metric Accountants for temporary importation.
Brazil has therefore become a new and valuable destination where Fiera di Vicenza is a privileged partner of the very best of Italian production. The partnership between Fiera di Vicenza and leading industrial organisations in the gold and jewellery processing technology sector continues to generate increasingly better results due to the development of joint trade and promotional strategies. In this way, the long-standing alliance with AFEMO, Fiera di Vicenza’s strategic and reliable partner, is further strengthened and the T-GOLD International project is the undeniable proof.
After Tecnogold in San Paolo, Brazil, the next scheduled event is in December at the Dubai International Jewellery Week in the United Arab Emirates, another important milestone for an internationalisation project that has those markets where demand is higher within its sights.
