From the maker of the world’s most prestigious sports watches and chronographs comes its newest luxury advancement: the MERIDIIST II by TAG Heuer, a personal communication instrument of unprecedented service, design and performance.
Like every breakthrough product from the legendary Swiss house, the original MERIDIIST, launched in 2008, set a new standard for luxury design and performance. The only Swiss- engineered communication instrument ever built, it combined the high-end classic design and finishes of a luxury TAG Heuer watch, the finest materials of horology, artisan expertise and avant-garde engineering, and the leading-edge of telephony technology.
The MERIDIIST profile design is inspired by the iconic TAG Heuer Monaco, the radical, square- shaped racing chronograph made famous by Steve McQueen in the 1970 film classic Le Mans. The must-have watch of the fastest drivers on the international circuit ever since, its distinctive contours give the MERIDIIST its instantly recognizable silhouette.
The hand-assembled MERIDIIST is composed of more than 400 mechanical components – many derived from legendary TAG Heuer chronographs. Crafted from luxury materials of the finest quality, it is the luxury handset device of premium class travel and business.

The MERIDIIST II builds on the strengths of its prestigious predecessor. Designed to meet the specific needs of the international traveller, it is significantly thinner and lighter than the original, with a much larger screen, improved resolution, and host of new features, including:
PRIVATE CONCIERGE SERVICE: Exclusive personalized service, around the world and around the clock, with the simple press of a button. Tickets to a sold-out show? An impossible-to-get reservation at the city’s best restaurant? Just ask and it is yours.
DUAL SIM: Two active telephone numbers for maximum coverage–use one SIM card for personal use, the other for professional use; or one for use at home, the other for your destination country. Effortlessly easy to switch between the two, either manually or automatically. An essential and exclusive function, ideal for frequent travellers.
DUAL-TIME GMT: An even shorter click of the same button lights up the instrument’s second time zone function on the MERIDIIST II’s angled top screen in OLED (organic light-emitting diode).
28 DAY POWER RESERVE: Double battery life means 7 hours of talk time, 28 days of standby, and 15 hours of non-stop MP3 playback.
PERSONALIZATION: Owners of the MERIDIIST II worldwide will have an additional option to personalize their phone with laser engraving on a second battery cover.

The MERIDIIST II is a design object of the highest order, setting the pace in the luxury category not only because of its integrated performance and services, but because of the simple elegance of its slim design, and the richness of its materials.
Sapphire crystal is treasured for its exceptional hardness, light transmission and stability in extreme thermodynamic conditions. It is a key material in the designs of even the earliest MERIDIIST communication instruments, the MERIDIIST II extends the sapphire crystal display screen to the keypad base, entailing intensive engagement and more complex hand-assemblage workmanship; the brilliance, colour and form of the sapphire crystal must be monitored with rigour for overall homogeneity. A total of 103 carats of unscratchable sapphire crystal unify the overall aesthetic of the MERIDIIST II, directly in line with the timeless design codes of the original MERIDIIST.
The materials, depending on the model (10 in total) include: high-grade calfskin or alligator battery covers, polished PVD, satin-brushed and polished 316L stainless steel and a scratch-proof smoked sapphire crystal. The larger borderless screen in and backlit keys make for at-a-glance easy reading. Screen options include white silver illumination, which is legible in even the most intense sunlight.
The more rounded form of the MERIDIIST II will make it particularly attractive to women. This is especially true of the new luxury editions, which include a Lady’s edition in pink alligator and sapphires, a shimmering diamond and white alligator model, and four elegant executive edition in exquisite rose gold.
