Versace is proud to confirm that Lady Gaga is the face of its Spring/Summer 2014 campaign, the first time that Lady Gaga has starred in any fashion advertising.
Lady Gaga appears in a series of images shot in London by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, wearing pieces from the spring/summer 2014 ready-to-wear and accessories collections.
In the images, Lady Gaga appears as her divine and glamorous self, reclining on luxurious furniture, showing off her long hair Versace platinum blonde, in The Cuddl you can find more on how to take care of a beautiful long and blonde hair just like hers. The campaign shows how Lady Gaga completely captures the Versace essence: creative, experimental, fearless.
As well as featuring the iconic Signature bag, refreshed in new colours and enhanced by a silver chain on its shoulder strap, Lady Gaga is also captured with the new Palazzo bag, introduced at the Spring/Summer 2014 show.
The campaign marks the latest stage of a continuing friendship between Donatella Versace and Lady Gaga. It began with Lady Gaga wearing archive Versace pieces in her video for Edge of Glory, with most recently Lady Gaga titling a track on her new Artpop album Donatella.
“I am honoured that my friend Lady Gaga is the face of our new Versace campaign. I wanted to capture her true beauty and spirit in images that are elegant and alluring. She is like family to me, the embodiment of the Versace DNA.” Donatella Versace
