ANAIS RHEINER, “MYSTERIOUS GARDEN”

ANAISRHEINER-portrait-www.collection-magazine.comBorn in 1981 in Switzerland, Anais Rheiner nurtured a passion for jewelry at a very young age. From her childhood spent in Zimbabwe where she lived with her family and from her geologist father, she cultivated a deep appreciation for gemstones and for nature which influenced her path in life and later on affected her design style.

In 2006 she graduated with a degree in jewelry design from the University of Durban technology in South Africa and moved to Paris where she opened her own boutique on rue Cardinale, a quaint little street tucked away in Paris’s Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhood.

She transformed a former wine cellar into a luminous space for creating and showcasing her jewelry collections. Her clientele grew steadily as well as her notoriety because of the uniqueness of her pieces and the original design style. Gold, diamonds and colored stones are the main materials the designer use to make her jewelry pieces. She works the gold entirely by her own hands and then had it set with diamonds in an atelier in Place Vendôme.

Nature is her primary source of inspiration; however an exceptional relation ties the designer with flowers in particular. The cherry blossom motif is reinterpreted in various ways in almost all her collections.  And the “Mysterious Garden” collection is no exception; characterized by an intricate and refined delicacy, this collection plays with the contrast between voluminous matter and negative space, which provides the freedom for imagination. www.anaisrheiner.com
