Finalists of the 12th GIT’s World Jewelry Design Awards 2018 on www.git.or.th
The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (GIT) have selected five jewelry designs to enter the final round of the 12th GIT’s World Jewelry Design Awards 2018. According to Ms. Duangkamol Jiambutr, Director of GIT, in this year’s contest, 333 designs were submitted, with 157 of these from Thailand and 176 from overseas. The judges have chosen 20 designs in the first round and 5 designs that received the highest scores in the second round. These 5 designs will be made into jewelry pieces where each one will be beautiful and unique in their own way, showcasing the ability of designers that can use different materials creatively.
These five designs which received the highest scores will be made into jewelry pieces and will be exhibited at the 62nd Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair to be held from September 7 to 11, 2018 at Challenger Hall, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, along with the 20 designs that passed the first round of the contest. Most importantly, the winner will be announced on September 7, 2018 at the event.
In this contest, winners will receive a total of $9,000 in prize money or over THB 315,000 with a trophy from Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol. Awards will be divided into two categories: the award from the decision of honorary judges, and the Popular Design Award 2018 that is open for the public to vote from the 20 top designs through www.git.or.th from June 18, 2018 onwards. Voters will be randomly selected to win a piece of jewelry from Alpha Precious Metal CO., LTD. and PANDORA PRODUCTION CO., LTD.
