KRISTINA FIDELSKAYA AUTUMN / WINTER 2021 COLLECTION

KRISTINA FIDELSKAYA

He called her Bibi – she smiled, and remembered a simpler time.

Intrinsically bold, relentlessly brave, and empowered–The stage is set in the early sixties when a young Brigitte Bardot made international headlines as a modern-day femme fatale – at the forefront of cinematic marvels, and mesmerized audiences.

The Kristina Fidelskaya Autumn / Winter 2021 collection is named ‘Bibi’ -a subtle nod to “B.B”, a heroine of her time, a silver-screen icon, who’s enigmatic charisma captured the crowds, and who’s confidence inspired change. The etymology of “Bibi” refers to a name used as a term of respect – for the lady of the house, who commands her household, and the company she keeps.

The Autumn / Winter 2021’s looks are an ode to the modern women’s strength – adapted to her contemporary lifestyle, created for ease and convenience, with pieces that can be worn on-the-go, from day to night. The collection unfolds as a story of transformation – from western fringe on showman silhouettes, to soft layers of silk ruffles, to tier-layered leather ensembles, and delicate form-fitting dresses and bustier gowns. Timeless hues and soft shades, paired with sartorial comfort, make for a nonchalant fall season.

This season’s collection is composed of a variety of re-designed contemporary classics, and evening-wear looks, comprised of the brand’s signature intricate hand-cut leather&cut-work suede, as well as cashmere wool, silk chiffon, floral sixties print, antenna cockerel feathers, accentuated by fringe, ruffles, and hoodies worn under hats–a unique combination of feminine silhouettes worked into contemporary sportswear.

The collection includes two Kristina Fidelskaya hats made by Maison Michel Paris, the “Bibi” and the “Brigitte”, both available in three colorways of black, camel, and white.
Since 1936, the Parisian milliner Maison Michel has used its uniquely artisanal savoir-faire and exclusive fashion expertise to create exceptional hats and headpieces. In tune with the times, Maison Michel offers pieces that are daringly sophisticated as well as easy-to-wear versatile designs that suit our nomadic lifestyles.

As part of a continued collaboration with HALM, the collection features the “Bino” bag re-edited in two new colorways, lin and sand. Brought together by the love of craftsmanship and refined details, the collaboration was conceived as a meeting of minds between the founders of each label, Hanna Ransjöand Kristina Fidelskaya – the partnership materialized through their mutual appreciation for creative artistry and high-quality leatherwork. The Bino handbag is inspired by an antique binocular case, and memories of sightseeing expeditions – combined with the view of a personal journey and the concept of time-travel. The Bino is created from HALM’s signature bull leather with a hard finish.

Footwear provided by New Balance, with women’s classic New Balance 574.

This collection takes the brand a step closer to the wardrobe I envision of the modern woman and her needs. Our definition of luxury is changing, and fashion is evolving. Continued collaborations, now with the addition of our hats, is allowing me to further mold the Kristina Fidelskaya universe, and complete my vision of our woman, and her look. Incomplicated times, I believe even more soto create, and share beauty through the label.” – Kristina Fidelskaya

Established in Dubai in 2014, the label has been showing during Paris Fashion Week held by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, since 2017. Kristina Fidelskaya is available at a selection of department stores and retailers around the world, at its flagship stores in the UAE at The Dubai Mall, and Mall of the Emirates – as well as online www.kristinafidelskaya.com
