FROM ISTANBUL TO THE WORLD
The world of jewelry is about to converge in Istanbul as the city prepares to host the Istanbul Jewelry Show, one of the top five international jewelry exhibitions worldwide.
The 54th Istanbul Jewelry Show, scheduled from October 5th to 8th, 2023, is poised to be the largest October fair yet. With a space expanding from 40,000 to 50,000 square meters, the event will play host to more than 27,000 industry professionals from 140 countries across five spacious halls.
The show’s expansive platform will showcase a wide array of products and services, including gold, jewelry, diamonds, colored stones, pearls, silverware, watches, molds, machinery, equipment, safes, software, logistics, lighting, machinery and equipment, enabling exhibitors and visitors to expand their global business networks.
While the Istanbul Jewelry Show excels in fostering commercial endeavors, it also prides itself on supporting the sector’s development. Events like the Designer Club, a collaborative initiative between the Jewelry Exporters’ Association and the Istanbul Jewelry Show, offer jewelry designers and artisans a dedicated platform to showcase their creations. Additionally, the “Art for Jewelry-Inspiration Hub” event will bring together art and jewelry, featuring seminars with prominent speakers from global influences and key figures in the art and jewelry sectors.
Moreover, renowned trend forecasting firm WGSN will unveil insights into consumer preferences and trends for the upcoming season at Art for Jewelry.
One of the show’s primary objectives is to facilitate approximately 80 percent of Turkey’s jewelry exports through business negotiations conducted during the event. Sermin Cengiz, Founding Partner of the Istanbul Jewelry Show, emphasized Turkey’s prominent role in the global jewelry market, ranking among the top three countries in world jewelry exports. Last year, the sector recorded exports amounting to $5.855 billion. This fair serves as a crucial trading hub, where meetings are expected to significantly benefit Turkey’s economy.
Sustainability is at the forefront of the Istanbul Jewelry Show’s vision. To reduce carbon emissions, the event will minimize printed materials, recycle badges and exhibition carpets, employ energy-efficient LED lighting, conduct visitor surveys online via tablets to reduce paper consumption, and encourage exhibitors and visitors to use public transportation to minimize CO2 emissions.
The Istanbul Jewelry Show is an exclusive event for jewelry industry professionals and is not open to the public. Get ready and save the date: October 5th to 8th, 2023.
