Baglietto’s T52 yacht, hull no.10238, has emerged as the winner of the World Superyacht Award 2024 in the category “Displacement Motor Yachts 499GT and below, 45m and above.” This prestigious accolade was awarded by a jury of shipowners and experts from Boat International magazine, who lauded the yacht’s innovative design and features, in a luxurious ceremony that took place in the Venetian Arsenal.
The T52, a steel and aluminum displacement yacht, both exterior and interior designs by Francesco Paszkowski Design, with interior collaboration from Margherita Casprini. The judges praised the expansive 135-square-metre sundeck, describing it as “one of the best spaces onboard.” Additionally, the yacht’s unique aft deck design includes a three-level beach club with a large 3.7-metre-long pool featuring a retractable floor, a standout feature that caught the judges’ attention. The hybrid propulsion system was also highlighted for its efficiency and reduced environmental impact, reflecting modern sustainability concerns.
Diego Michele Deprati, CEO of Baglietto, expressed immense pride in the recognition and testified that the award not only shapes Baglietto’s present but also paves the way for its future. This achievement is especially significant as it coincides with the 170th anniversary of Baglietto, emphasizing a legacy of innovation and adherence to its foundational values.
The T52 is the first in a highly successful line, with eight vessels sold in just three years and scheduled for delivery in the coming years. Francesco Paszkowski Design has skillfully blended classical elements of Baglietto’s traditional steel displacement yachts with contemporary aesthetics, giving the T52 a distinctive and strong personality. The design is not only visually striking but also environmentally conscious, with the hybrid propulsion system offering greater efficiency and reduced operational costs.
One of the T52’s most notable features is its open stern with a three-level beach club. The beach club includes a large pool with a movable floor, which can extend the deck space when the pool is not in use. The upper deck features wide floor-to-ceiling windows that open on three sides, creating an inviting “al fresco” lounge area. This space, which includes a conversation and dining area, is designed to be enjoyed in all weather conditions.
The approximately 24-metre-long sundeck is another defining feature of the T52, reflecting Baglietto’s tradition of expansive sundecks on their displacement yachts. This design element, combined with the other innovative features, ensures that the T52 stands out in the luxury yachting market, embodying both elegance and functionality.
