The story behind the Classics Elegance Luna is as enchanting as the watch itself. For the first time in the history of the brand, the moonphase design was conceptualized by the daughter of the Manufacture’s head of Research & Development. Her fresh perspective brought a new level of romance and whimsy to the design, departing from the traditional technical approach. The result is a moonphase that features two half-moons embracing in a tender kiss, set against a shimmering mother-of-pearl dial.
This unique lunar display is elegantly positioned at the 6 o’clock mark. The lunar disc, designed exclusively for Frederique Constant, oscillates between light and dark shades of grey, creating a visual spectacle that is both subtle and captivating. Each model in the collection showcases a steel case with silver highlights and matching steel hands, beautifully complemented by the mother-of-pearl dial that comes in an array of soft hues: pink, light green, blue, or grey. These gentle tones dance with the light, adding a dynamic quality to the watch’s face.
The Elegance Luna features a newly designed hour ring, Traditional Arabic numerals have been replaced by Roman numerals, adding a touch of grace to the overall spirit. Worthy to mention that, for the first time, these numerals are rendered in the same color as the leather strap.
Measuring a refined 36 millimeters in diameter, each model is powered by the self-winding FC-331 calibre, which offers a 38-hour power reserve. The collection includes four variations, two of which boast an opulent fully jewel-set hour ring and bezel, totaling 96 diamonds and 1.17 carats. These models come in vibrant apple green and contemporary denim blue, each exuding a modern allure.
The other two models offer a more understated elegance, with only the hour ring set with diamonds, 56 in total, amounting to 0.7 carats. These versions are available in navy blue with matching hands and a warm, romantic red with steel hands, providing a choice for those who appreciate subtle luxury.
