CECILIE BAHNSEN PRE-SPRING 2025 COLLECTION

The Pre-Spring 2025 collection by Cecilie Bahnsen, named “The Edge of Beauty,” gracefully shifts away from the brand’s signature sweetness and innocence, stepping boldly into the powerful realm of modern femininity.

This season, the brand’s vision focuses on versatile separates and layers that invite each woman to infuse her personal style into the collection. With an emphasis on confidence, comfort, and authenticity, Cecilie Bahnsen continues to evolve, crafting pieces that resonate with the rhythm and life of the contemporary woman.

This collection draws inspiration from the diverse spectrum of women, and a palette reflecting a moody yet contemplative energy, blending soft tones of grey and chestnut with subtle hints of sorbet, olive, and silver. These hues breathe new life into spring, presenting a pared-back elegance that is both fresh and introspective.

Central to the collection are slim silhouettes, nightgown-like wrap dresses and delicate overlays, with softly draped ruffles adding a whimsical touch as both trim and appliqué. The balance of femininity with a technical edge is masterfully achieved through the use of intricate couturier fabrics, such as the Kado Fil-Coupé, which uniquely combines a techy material and a romantic airy feel.

In a continued partnership with Nona Source, Bahnsen emphasizes sustainability by incorporating deadstock fabrics into her designs. This collaboration proves the endless possibilities of repurposing materials, from Silk Satin to Canvas to Denim, each fabric is carefully reimagined. The denim pieces, crafted from recycled cotton scraps, OCS certified yarn, and 100% traceable products from the European circular economy, underline the brand’s commitment to a more circular fashion industry.

Denim remains a cornerstone of Cecilie Bahnsen, with this season’s designs drawing on workwear and utilitarian inspirations. Shorts, dresses, and jackets are impeccably detailed, merging functionality with a distinctly feminine touch. This season also sees an expansion of the footwear line, ranging from signature chunky sandals to delicate ballet flats. Additionally, the introduction of an effortless slingback heel, inspired by 90s fashion and Japanese design, offers a fresh way to complete head-to-toe looks.

The campaign, shot by Lana Ohrimenko at Copenhagen V1 Gallery, features three women initially cast for Bahnsen FW24 runway show. Inspired by their unique personalities and the energy they brought to her universe, Bahnsen once again invites them to bring her clothes to life. The femininity and individuality, are showcased through a collection made for women, by women, highlighting the essence of Cecilie Bahnsen evolving brand.
