ROKSANDA SS 2025: ART, NATURE, AND MODERN FEMININITY

For Spring/Summer 2025, ROKSANDA draws inspiration from the pioneering environmental artist Agnes Denes and her conceptual work Wheatfield – A Confrontation, planted in Lower Manhattan in 1982.

This thought-provoking piece, symbolizing the tension between nature and industrialization, forms the foundation of a collection that merges human desires, history, and the natural world. Set against the architectural backdrop of London Space House, designed by George Marsh, ROKSANDA SS25 collection finds a perfect harmony with Denes’ vision.

This season, ROKSANDA channels a balance between structure and fluidity, with traditional craftsmanship meeting contemporary aesthetics. Dresses made from liquid velvet and silk are draped in sophisticated deconstruction, while menswear-inspired silk-twill and wool tailoring reveal intricate inner constructions. Bold silhouettes with circular cut-outs bring an element of surprise, and coats blend heavy wool twill with sheer silk organza, evoking the layered complexities of Denes’ art.

Prints inspired by Roksanda’s native Belgrade capture the landscapes along the powerful Sava and Danube rivers, while fil-coupé raffia pays homage to the fields of Serbia. The brand’s signature voluminous shapes are highlighted through recycled mixed-fiber taffeta, with asymmetric sculptural bows mimicking floral forms found in nature.

In collaboration with FitFlop, ROKSANDA introduces innovative footwear, including thigh-high boots with unexpected cut-outs and unique combinations of leather and shearling, transforming classic styles into bold new silhouettes.

This striking collection is a masterful blend of luxurious fabrics like silk satin, wool coating, and recycled taffeta, offered in an array of vibrant and earthy hues ranging from Iris and Sunflower to Persian Blue and Heliotrope. With its daring balance of nature and structure, the SS25 collection by ROKSANDA highlights modern femininity while staying deeply connected to the environment and human history.
