The fair, organized by Informa Markets, stands as one of the five largest jewelry exhibitions worldwide, and this edition did not disappoint. The event featured over 1,000 brands and companies from 14 countries, showcasing an array of jewelry from traditional gold and silver to more luxurious offerings of diamonds, emeralds, and pearls. Visitors had the opportunity to explore the latest in jewelry technology through IJS Tech, which featured the industry’s most cutting-edge machinery, tools, and security equipment.
Among the international attendees, buyers from Iran, Egypt, Algeria, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Russia, India, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tunisia, Iraq, United States, Romania, Libya, Kazakhstan, Palestine, Germany, Italy, Morocco and Bulgaria were prominent. The participation of these nations underscores the global reach of the event and its role as a key meeting point for international jewelry professionals. IJS Istanbul Jewelry Show Founding Partner Şermin Cengiz expressed pride in the resilience of the fair and its continued success, noting that despite global economic challenges and regional political tensions, the event has consistently provided a thriving platform for business deals and partnerships since its inception in 1986.
Cengiz also emphasized that preparations for the next edition, scheduled from 16 to 19 April 2025, are already in motion, signaling that the momentum built over the years shows no signs of slowing down.
One of the most anticipated aspects of the fair was the unveiling of trends and designs set to shape the jewelry market in 2025. Many of the participating brands introduced exclusive collections specifically prepared for the event, presenting some of the most dazzling and innovative designs yet. Thousands of products, from gold and diamond pieces to silver, pearls, and emeralds, were displayed, giving a glimpse of what will grace store shelves in the coming year.
Special attention was given to the Designer Club, where jewelry masters showcased their craftsmanship, unveiling unique and intricate designs that captivated buyers and collectors alike. The event also featured the “Art for Jewellery: Inspiration Hub,” a collaboration with the Jewellery Exporters’ Association, which highlighted the fusion of art and jewelry design, contributing to the ongoing evolution of the industry.
Worthy to note that IJS was also a big source of inspiration for industry professionals, the world-renowned trend-forecasting company WGSN presented an exclusive trend report that provided a glimpse into the designs and styles expected to dominate the jewelry world in 2025. This information is invaluable to manufacturers and retailers looking to stay ahead in an industry where trends are constantly evolving.
In addition, Istanbul Jewelry Show offered a series of events and presentations designed to foster creativity and provide educational insights. From interactive workshops to panel discussions, these events drew significant interest from attendees eager to learn from the best minds in the industry.
