FERRARI F80, THE NEW FERRARI SUPERCAR

The Ferrari F80 pushes the limits of automotive engineering and performance, combining advanced hybrid technology, aerodynamics, and design. Every aspect of this supercar, from its hybrid V6 powertrain to its revolutionary thermal management and vehicle dynamics, has been crafted to deliver an unmatched driving experience, both on the road and on the track.

The F80 features a hybrid 3.0-liter V6 turbo engine paired with an electric motor, producing a staggering 1200 hp. This hybrid system integrates performance and efficiency, with its electric motor providing both power boosts and energy recovery. The car offers three driving modes—’Hybrid’, ‘Performance’, and ‘Qualify’—catering to different driving conditions, from daily efficiency to maximum performance on the track.

Managing heat generated by the hybrid system was a major challenge, addressed by Ferrari’s innovative cooling solutions. The F80 also features electrically actuated climate controls and a transparent windscreen film that reduces the load on the HVAC system, contributing to energy efficiency.

The radiators’ venting system was engineered to maximize cooling while minimizing aerodynamic drag, ensuring that hot air is expelled in ways that don’t interfere with vehicle performance.

The F80’s advanced suspension system provides exceptional stability and agility. Featuring independent suspension with 48V electric motors, 3D-printed components, and active dampers, the system optimizes ride quality for both track and road use. Ferrari’s new SSC 9.0 system with Integrated Vehicle Estimator (FIVE) predicts car behavior in real-time, offering precise control of traction and dynamic performance.

The F80 also introduces Boost Optimization, allowing drivers to perform reconnaissance laps on tracks, after which the system adjusts power output to maximize lap performance, highlighting Ferrari’s track superiority.

The F80’s braking system, co-developed with Brembo, includes CCM-R Plus discs, offering increased mechanical strength and thermal conductivity. Inspired by Formula 1 technology, the system ensures consistent performance even under extreme conditions.

The lightweight chassis, constructed from carbon fiber, aluminum, and titanium, offers superior strength without adding excess weight. The exterior design is not only aesthetically striking, with its low-slung, aerodynamic profile and dramatic butterfly doors, but it also serves a functional purpose, reducing drag and increasing downforce.

Inside, the driver-centric cockpit draws inspiration from Formula 1, with controls and instruments designed for maximum accessibility and visibility. The steering wheel and seating layout ensure optimal ergonomics, while maintaining a sleek, compact cabin that complements the aerodynamic efficiency.

The F80 comes with Ferrari’s exclusive seven-year maintenance program, ensuring regular servicing by Ferrari-trained technicians. This global program guarantees that each F80 remains in peak condition, delivering the performance expected from Ferrari.
