The seventh edition of “Time Space Existence”, the biennial architecture exhibition is set to return to Venice from 10 May to 23 November, 2025.
With cutting-edge architectural thought and innovation on display, this global gathering promises to be a dynamic platform where tradition and modernity intersect to shape the future of the built environment.
Spanning three historic venues, Palazzo Bembo, Palazzo Mora, and the Marinaressa Gardens, the exhibition offers a unique canvas for site-specific installations, models, and exhibits. Each space, steeped in Venetian history, will provide the perfect backdrop for projects that harmonize contemporary design with timeless beauty. The venues promise to enhance the creative synergy between architecture and its surroundings, offering attendees a truly immersive experience.
For the year 2025, the theme of Repair, Regenerate, and Reuse, invites architects, designers, and urban planners to tackle urgent global challenges with sustainable solutions. Highlighting the importance of circular practices and the reuse of materials, the exhibition emphasizes the need for a harmonious relationship with the planet. A special focus on indigenous architectural principles and resourceful design further enriches the discourse, underscoring the role of architecture in driving positive environmental change.
Among the notable participants are Holcim, in collaboration with Pritzker Prize laureate Alejandro Aravena and his studio, Elemental, presenting a groundbreaking carbon-neutral housing project. Other highlights include Henriquez Partners, exploring natural intelligence, and Semillas, showcasing a participatory educational space constructed with local materials. Universities like Princeton, Virginia Tech, and Future Cities Laboratory will contribute cutting-edge research, broadening the conversation on global architectural trends.
Since its inception in 2012, Time Space Existence has been a vital platform for architectural innovation, drawing renowned practitioners and emerging talents to discuss the philosophical dimensions of time, space, and existence. Organized by the European Cultural Centre (ECC), the exhibition serves as a nexus for architects, scholars, and cultural enthusiasts, fostering a global dialogue that continues to shape the future of architecture.
With Venice as its stage, this year’s exhibition promises to inspire, provoke, and redefine the possibilities of architecture in a rapidly evolving world.
