MILANO FASHION&JEWELS FEBRUARY 2025

From 22 to 25 February, the halls of Rho Fiera Milano transformed into a dazzling showcase of fashion accessories, jewelry, and apparel.

More than just an exhibition, this edition of Milano Fashion&Jewels was a platform for creativity, sustainability, and future-forward business strategies, offering professionals a glimpse into the evolving landscape of fashion and bijoux.

With over 650 brands from 39 countries, this edition strengthened its international reach, thanks in part to a strategic partnership with Bijorhca – Who’s Next Paris. This collaboration created a direct bridge between Milan and Paris, supporting the cross-border exchange of jewelry craftsmanship and design, with future partnerships extending to Bucharest, Łódź, and Rome.

The exhibition space, with three dedicated pavilions, provided a curated experience for buyers, designers, and retailers:

Jewelry Pavilion: Where contemporary and high-fashion jewelry intersected with innovation. The “Container of Contemporary Jewels” featured avant-garde pieces with bold designs and unconventional materials.

Fashion Accessories & Apparel Pavilion: A stage for ready-to-wear collections, with a focus on sustainability through the “Exploring Sustainable Fashion” initiative, highlighting independent brands dedicated to ethical production.

MFJ Delivery Pavilion: A revolutionary space catering to the growing demand for immediate product availability, allowing retailers to source semi-finished and finished goods ready for immediate distribution.

Anticipating future trends is key in the luxury industry, and Milano Fashion&Jewels delivered cutting-edge insights with the Design Directions – Fashion Forecast 2027, developed in collaboration with Poli.Design. Two major themes emerged:

DREAMPACT: A fusion of nature and technology, where optical illusions and fluid designs redefine aesthetics.

ARTISOUL: A celebration of craftsmanship and materiality, blending heritage with contemporary creativity.

Beyond trend forecasting, the fair also explored the future of retail, with masterclasses led by Massimiliano Alvisi of Shop Survivor, offering in-depth analysis on the seven key factors for a successful retail business. Talks and workshops on luxury branding, social media strategies, and consumer behavior provided retailers and designers with actionable tools to navigate the evolving market.

As the luxury industry moves toward a more eco-conscious future, Milano Fashion&Jewels positioned sustainability as a core theme. Initiatives such as Friend of the Earth, alongside a strong presence of fair-trade brands, reinforced the event’s commitment to responsible production.

Young talent was also in the spotlight, with the XXXV National Competition for Young Fashion Designers – RMI 2024, offering a €10,000 scholarship to the most promising designer. Additionally, the IED Milano Contemporary Upcycling Project culminated in a fashion show celebrating sustainable creativity, with the most outstanding designer awarded an MFJ scholarship.

With strong industry growth forecasts for 2025–2028, Milano Fashion&Jewels remains at the forefront of an ever-evolving sector—one where tradition and innovation walk hand in hand toward a sustainable and stylish future.
