Bangkok’s Queen Sirikit National Convention Center recently hosted the 71st Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair, from 22 to 26 February, 2025, welcoming nearly 40,000 visitors and generating over 3.7 billion baht in sales, proving that the demand for exquisite Thai craftsmanship continues to shine brightly on the world stage.
The event was graced by none other than HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, who presided over the opening ceremony with a regal presence. As a patron of Thai craftsmanship and an accomplished designer herself, Her Royal Highness showcased her latest high jewelry creations in the much-anticipated AMOUR ÉTERNEL HAUTE JOAILLERIE exhibition. Organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) and the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (GIT), the fair featured 2,628 booths, representing over 1,100 exhibitors from Thailand and abroad. The event’s strong international pull was evident, with 71% of visitors coming from outside Thailand. Buyers and traders from across the globe scoured the fair for the finest diamonds, gemstones, and precious metals.

Gemstones – Thailand’s expertise in colored gemstones, particularly rubies and sapphires, remains unmatched.
Fine Jewelry – Luxurious, high-end pieces continued to be a major draw.
Silver Jewelry – The country’s intricate silver craftsmanship stood out as a top export.
Gold & Fine Jewelry – Timeless elegance remains in high demand.
Diamonds – The eternal allure of these sparkling stones captivated global buyers.
BGJF is a hub of creativity and knowledge-sharing, the 71st edition featured an impressive lineup of industry-focused activities, including marketing seminars, technical workshops, and an exclusive Networking Reception, where industry leaders and emerging designers connected over shared passions and business opportunities.
A special highlight was the New Faces Zone, showcasing up-and-coming designers and brands, ensuring that fresh talent continues to thrive in Thailand’s jewelry landscape. Meanwhile, the Export Clinic provided expert insights into global market trends, further strengthening Thailand’s position as a leading exporter.
