Franck Muller, a name synonymous with audacious horological creations, has unveiled a striking collaboration that merges the world of Haute Horlogerie with contemporary art. The result? A limited-edition reimagining of the iconic Crazy Hours, infused with the distinctive artistic vision of French pop-street artist JISBAR.
Presented at the prestigious World Presentation of Haute Horlogerie, this partnership marks a bold move for Franck Muller, showcasing the Vanguard Crazy Hours within a V43 case. The Crazy Hours, known for its unconventional display of time, finds a kindred spirit in JISBAR, whose work playfully challenges traditional perspectives.
JISBAR’s artistic intervention transforms the dial into a vibrant canvas, with each numeral reflecting his unique visual language while retaining the core concept that makes the Crazy Hours such a celebrated complication. As Nicholas Rudaz, DG Franck Muller Genève, notes, “JISBAR revisits the dial and the numbers of one of the most audacious and emblematic collections of FRANCK MULLER, instilling his visual universe while preserving the conceptual essence of this extraordinary complication”.
This collaboration is a dialogue between two creative forces. JISBAR expresses his long-standing fascination with Franck Muller’s audacity, stating, “This collaboration is the culmination of years of work and reflection. I have always been fascinated by the boldness of FRANCK MULLER, a Maison that, like me, seeks to break codes and push the boundaries of creation”.
The Crazy Hours x JISBAR collection is offered in five exclusive variations, each limited to 50 individually numbered pieces. These variations, featuring materials like carbon, steel, titanium, black titanium, and rose gold, are designed to complement JISBAR’s artistic world.
However, the collaboration goes beyond the watch itself. JISBAR has created five original artworks, each echoing the design of a specific watch variation. This creates a unique interplay between the timepiece and the artwork, as JISBAR explains, “The watch is inspired by my work, and my work is inspired by the watch, forming a unique artistic dialogue”.
Owners of the Crazy Hours x JISBAR will not only acquire an exceptional timepiece but also a piece of art. Each watch comes with a fragment of a larger canvas, hand-embellished by JISBAR and divided into 50 numbered pieces, ensuring exclusivity and a direct connection to the artist’s creation.
Even the presentation box of the watch reflects this artistic fusion, drawing inspiration from the dial’s design and incorporating JISBAR’s graphic elements.
The Franck Muller Crazy Hours is known for its unconventional time display, where the numerals are arranged in a seemingly random order.
