THE UNFOLDING ALLURE OF JGA 2025 IN HONG KONG THIS JUNE

In the heart of June, beneath the arches of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, a kaleidoscopic celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and commercial vitality returns with Jewellery & Gem ASIA Hong Kong (JGA).

Revered as Asia’s paramount mid-year B2B fine jewellery fair, JGA 2025 invites trade connoisseurs, gem lovers, and visionaries alike to wander through its glistening aisles from 19 to 22 June, where over 1,200 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions will converge in harmony.

Organised by Informa Markets Jewellery, the fair is an odyssey across the many dialects of design, each booth a chapter, each gem a verse. This year, five design inspirations beckon us to fall in love anew.

NATURE’S WHIMSY: BLOOMS, WINGS & A WHISPER OF GOLD

Nature speaks softly yet irresistibly in this season’s romantic retelling of flowers and butterflies. Shenzhen Jindingsheng Jewelry’s ring, awash with diamonds and blushing sapphires, sings of eternal spring, while H & R Jewellery captures ephemeral flight with rainbow sapphires unfurling across brooches like stained glass in motion. Gold Treasure International Jewellery, meanwhile, conjures a butterfly whose jade-carved wings and freshwater pearl body transform ancient elegance into modern poetry. Teng Huat Jewellery adds movement and play with long earrings that dance like sunlight filtering through a garden canopy, alive with golden butterflies etched in diamonds… True emotional landscapes carved into metal and stone.

THE SWEET ALCHEMY OF COLOUR: JEWELS AS CONFECTION

EJI taps into childlike joy with its edible-looking masterpieces, an enamel and rainbow sapphire “Strawberry Doughnut” bangle and its saccharine sister, the “Rainbow Macaron” ring. Legrand Jewellery brings sapphire petals to life in a pendant that feels both regal and tender, while Gold Field crafts earrings that dangle with the cheerful elegance of candy-hued sapphires.

THE NEW REIGN OF PEARLS: YOUTHFUL GRACE MEETS TIMELESS MAJESTY

Pearls are reclaiming their throne with audacity and style. In P&J’s minimalist Japanese Akoya pearl hoop earrings, tradition flirts with contemporary minimalism. Hiroko Saito’s keshi pearl ring—golden and grey with a flourish of diamonds—is a study in balance, rawness polished to rare perfection. And in Asuka’s necklace, Akoya and Tahitian pearls are strung in a dance of contrast and cadence, whispering of oceans and time immemorial.

THE MAJESTY OF THE CENTRE STONE: ICONS IN COLOUR

The soul of any great jewel lies in its centre, at JGA, we are drawn to pieces that anchor the gaze and hush the room. P.N. Gems mesmerises with a 5-carat unheated “Pigeon blood” Burmese ruby—a stone of rare fire, encircled by icy brilliance. P.V. Gems counters with a 30.57-carat “royal blue” Sri Lankan sapphire, as deep and infinite as a summer twilight. And from Komehyo comes a showstopper: a 32.2-carat Colombian emerald suspended in a river of diamonds.

HEARTFELT NARRATIVES: SYMBOLS THAT PULSE WITH EMOTION

In a world submerged with fleeting trends, the heart remains eternally relevant. This year, “puffy” hearts make a bold return. Shenyang Moonlight Jewelry Manufacturing gives the classic shape a playful twist with spacer beads, while Tri Gem Jewelry’s textured pendant evokes a tactile romance. Jewellery Collection Manufacturer rounds off this tender trilogy with a diamond ring shaped like a heart of light—baguette and round stones choreographed with geometric precision and emotional depth.

Beyond aesthetics, JGA is a crucible of ideas, and this year’s panels promise insight as rich as the jewels themselves. “The Rise of the Eco-Friendly Luxury Consumer” on 19 June will probe the ethical turn in fine jewellery, led by visionaries from Chow Tai Fook, Ancardi, and PICS Fine Jewellery. On 20 June, the allure of pearls for younger buyers takes the spotlight in “For the Love of Pearls: A Millennial and Gen Z Affair,” featuring leaders from Autore Group, Fukui Shell Nucleus Factory, and The Collection by JLG.

Worthy to note that the Orient Odyssey 2.0 (Stand 3M260), supported by luminaries like Autore, Jewelmer, Paspaley, and Rio Pearl, is an exhibit that elevates the pearl into mythic territory. Alongside it, the Gold Jewellery Pavilion gleams with possibility, and the JWA Sustainability Awards 2025 Finalist announcement signals a future where beauty and responsibility go hand in hand.

As the jewellery world turns its gaze eastward, JGA 2025 offers more than products, it offers a true pilgrimage. A meeting of minds and materials, of heritage and innovation, of buyers and dreams. It is a fair where discovery is inevitable, and where inspiration it shines bright.

Let your compass point to Hong Kong this June. Fall in love all over again—with jewellery, with craftsmanship, and with the story told in every carefully cut gem.
