For Spring/Summer 2026, the house of Etro embodies a principle entitled “Flux,” where both the subject and the verb of Marco De Vincenzo’s latest offering, represent a testament to a brand identity that is, by its nature, metamorphic. To witness this collection is to observe a mercurial language of design, one that feeds on the perpetual motion of print and colour, painting itself upon the body in shapes that move in symbiotic harmony with the wearer.
The rhythm of this season is set to the tense ritualistic score of La Niña, a soundscape highlighting a rebellion of form and freedom. De Vincenzo, in an act of creative surrender, draws from the brand’s foundational wellspring of rebellious freedom and the unadulterated joy of psychedelia, letting the story take shape with a spontaneity that feels both primal and sophisticated. This is not designed clothing in the traditional sense, rather it is expressed dressing.
In the Flux, everything blends, yet nothing is lost, the eye is invited on a perpetual detour, discovering the dialogue between opposites: impalpable shapes that wrap and twist are accentuated by ruffles and kinetic fringes, while elsewhere, precise tailoring is illuminated by silky shimmers. Craft is paramount, expressed in delicate crochet and strategic transparencies that reveal flashes of skin, reminding us of the human form beneath the artistry.
The signature Etro print finds new, dynamic life and is refracted through beaded fringes, run across studded leather biker jackets, and layered in metallic jacquards that overlap with rhythmic motifs. Colour explodes not in broad strokes, but in precise, contrasting eruptions, in the multicoloured inlays on a leather blouson, in the pictorial motifs flourishing on rich brocades, and then, a sudden, brilliant black shadow cuts through the palette.
Even the accessories have a fair share, where jewellery is crafted like swirls of liquid metal or hammered filigree, even taking the form of chameleons, a fitting totem for a collection about transformation. Wide-brimmed hats in laser-cut leather, beaded scarves, and shoes with covered heels and embroidered straps speak to a complete universe. Bags, whether fringed totes or softly shaped handbags decorated with phyto- and zoomorphic charms, are the final, perfect punctuation to a collection that is endlessly in motion.
The Etro flux, as directed by De Vincenzo, does not follow a linear path, it just flows, retraces its steps, and advances relentlessly, and for SS26, it offers a powerful vision of luxury, as a beautiful, ever-evolving journey.
