Hong Kong Watch and Clock Mission to Dubai, UAE
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has orchestrated a magnificent Watch and Clock Mission to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), particularly in the magnificent city of Dubai, from 13 to 17 March 2023.
The purpose of this mission is to establish Hong Kong’s preeminent position in the global watch industry and to encourage esteemed buyers from the Middle East to attend the much-awaited Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair from 5 to 9 September 2023.
The mission was comprised of 19 of the most distinguished Hong Kong enterprises, and it was a delight to witness 24 brilliant delegates representing their respective companies. They had the great privilege of meeting the most influential players in the GCC market, such as Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, Rivoli, Swiss Watch Group, Al Futtaim Retail, and Jovial, among others.
But that’s not all – HKTDC has arranged two enlightening briefing sessions, one organized by a multinational bank, discussing the general business and retail sector development in the UAE, and another organized by a leading marketing agency that aimed to promote the lifestyle industry in the Middle East and Africa, mainly focusing on watches and jewelry.
The cherry on top was the full-day business matching session that took place on the 15th of March. It was an absolute success as 19 Hong Kong enterprises had the opportunity to physically meet over 60 esteemed buyers from the Middle East and Africa. The meetings arranged by the council exceeded 200, and many success stories emerged on the spot, with numerous buyers expressing strong and precise intentions to engage in business with the Hong Kong business delegates.
