Fabergé celebrates the momentous occasion of King Charles III’s coronation on 6th May 2023 with the launch of two exquisite commemorative lockets.
The latest additions to Fabergé’s Heritage collection, the Yellow Gold Diamond and Red Guilloché Enamel Coronation Crown, as well as the Yellow Gold Diamond and Red Guilloché Enamel Gold State Coach Surprise Lockets are stunning tributes to the coronation of a new era.
These exclusive lockets feature the new hallmark of the British Hallmarking Council, which bears King Charles III’s regal visage, and are designed to increase the collectability of these special pieces. Additionally, upon request, this hallmark can be applied to any item of Fabergé jewellery or bespoke order made this year, making each piece even more unique and collectible.
Crafted from 18k yellow gold, each egg locket is meticulously hand-painted with a majestic red guilloché enamel and bedecked with 17 round brilliant-cut white diamonds. But that’s not all, as these lockets contain a hidden surprise revealed by the touch of a diamond button.
The Heritage Coronation Gold State Coach Surprise Locket is a miniature replica of the iconic Gold State Coach, an integral part of royal coronations, jubilees, and events since its creation in 1762. The miniature carriage rests on a carnelian carved stone platform, and is adorned with a diamond on the side of the door.
The Heritage Coronation Crown Surprise Locket, on the other hand, is inspired by the Crown of St Edward, one of the nation’s most prized treasures and the crown used at the moment of coronation. The Fabergé crown surprise is crafted from 18k yellow gold, adorned with a majestic purple lacquer, and set with four round blue sapphires, ten round Gemfields Zambian emeralds, and two round Gemfields Mozambican rubies, set upon a carved carnelian stone platform.
