Kross Studio continues to redefine the boundaries of luxury watchmaking with its latest innovation, the KS 06 collection.
Following the KS 05 series in 2023, the Swiss manufacture introduces a newly designed 42mm case that houses its iconic central floating tourbillon movement. This development not only preserves but enhances the unique characteristics of its predecessor by integrating the lugs directly into the case, achieving a seamless blend of traditional aesthetics with modern ingenuity.
The KS 06 stands out with its elegant round shape, crafted from grade 5 titanium, known for its exceptional durability and lightweight properties. The watch features an expansive case back made from crystal, offering an unobstructed view of the sophisticated mechanics at work within. The bezel and case back are polished meticulously, setting a new standard in finishing for titanium components.
At the heart of the KS 06 lies the central floating tourbillon, visible through the oversized sapphire glass dome that tops the case. This glass is treated with anti-reflective, anti-UV, and anti-static coatings, enhancing visibility and emphasizing the ethereal beauty of the tourbillon seemingly suspended in mid-air. This masterpiece of engineering not only captivates visually but is also highly functional, boasting a power reserve of 120 hours due to its efficiently designed barrel, which is larger than the radius of the plate.
Adding to its allure, Kross Studio introduces an innovative winding system positioned at the back of the case, allowing for direct engagement with the barrel and ensuring user-friendly time setting and winding. This mechanism is a marvel of engineering, requiring multiple seals to maintain the integrity of the watch’s waterproofing, an impressive feat considering the complexity of its design.
The KS 06 also features a patented interchangeable strap system, streamlining the typically cumbersome process of strap replacement. This design allows the wearer to switch straps effortlessly without tools, promising an adaptable style for every occasion.
Each component of the KS 06 is finished to the highest standards, with the barrel bridge showcasing exceptional craftsmanship. It is adorned with côtes de Genève and meticulously hand-beveled. The dial consists of two parts: a finely opal-sandblasted flange and a grained hour wheel available in five different colors—blue, black, gold, green, and purple—offering a variety of aesthetics to suit individual tastes.
With only 10 pieces available in each of the five initial versions, the KS 06 collection embodies exclusivity and sophistication, priced starting at 74,800 USD. Each watch in this series not only tells time but tells a story of innovation, precision, and relentless pursuit of perfection.
