BAGLIETTO LAUNCHES THE NINTH T52: HULL NO. 10261 TOUCHES THE WATER

Some launches simply mark a date on the calendar; others remind us why a shipyard’s craft is worth following. On 22 October, Baglietto celebrated the second kind: hull no. 10261, the ninth yacht in its 52-metre T52 line, touched the water for the first time at the shipyard in La Spezia, Italy.

The T52 carries the signature of Francesco Paszkowski Design, which oversaw both the exterior styling and the interiors in collaboration with Margherita Casprini, while Pierluigi Ausonio Naval Architecture is behind the naval architecture. Together, they have shaped a contemporary yacht that balances elegant lines with functionality and a strong focus on onboard living. Just as importantly, each unit leaves room for individual interpretation, allowing the Owner’s preferences to shape the character of the yacht.

The ceremony itself was a private and heartfelt affair. The Owner, family members and close friends gathered for the occasion, joined by the Aberton Yachts team, who worked closely with the shipyard throughout the construction process. It was a moment to celebrate the expertise, dedication and passion invested in the project, and the shared commitment of everyone who helped bring it to this important stage.

Fabio Ermetto, CCO of Baglietto, captured the spirit of the day: “Every launch is a particularly meaningful moment for everyone involved, as it brings together the expertise, dedication and passion invested in a project.” Speaking of the ninth unit, he noted that the T52 offers “another expression of a design that combines a strong identity with the freedom to create a yacht tailored to the Owner’s aspirations.” As he put it, “This is central to Baglietto’s approach: working closely with each client and our design partners to turn an individual vision into reality.”

The launch comes at a particularly dynamic time for the La Spezia-based shipyard, which continues to develop its portfolio in response to the evolving expectations of the international yachting market. At the latest Monaco Yacht Show, Baglietto presented two new models: the FAST50, a fresh interpretation of speed and performance, and the T60, the new flagship of the range, extending the shipyard’s offering in the large-yacht segment.

Baglietto specializes in new planing aluminium yachts and steel and aluminium semi-displacement mega-yachts between 35 and 65 metres, built across its La Spezia headquarters and its Carrara operating site. Recent investments in La Spezia include three new sheds for yachts of up to 65 metres and an approximately 1,200-ton travel lift, the largest in Europe.

With hull no. 10261, the T52 program takes another confident step, reflecting the shipyard’s commitment to combining design excellence, construction expertise and a highly individual approach to each yacht.
