In a move that solidifies Italy’s position as the global epicenter of jewelry manufacturing innovation, the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) and AFEMO (the Italian Association of Manufacturers and Exporters of Jewellery Machinery) have officially renewed their strategic partnership for the 2026–2028 period. The landmark agreement, announced on June 16, 2026, is set to elevate T.Gold, the premier international exhibition for jewelry machinery and precious metal manufacturing, into a new era of global leadership.
The renewal comes at a transformative moment for the trade. IEG is currently executing a €60 million self-funded expansion of the Vicenza exhibition center. A centerpiece of this development is the construction of the new Hall 2, scheduled to open this coming September.
For B2B buyers and exhibitors, this infrastructure milestone brings a major operational upgrade: T.Gold will permanently move from its previous external location in Hall 9 into Hall 4. This relocation integrates the technology sector directly into the main Vicenzaoro ecosystem, creating a seamless, high-efficiency environment for international decision-makers. Furthermore, T.Gold will now fully align with Vicenzaoro’s biannual calendar, running synchronous editions in both January and September to better serve rapidly evolving market demands.
The IEG-AFEMO alliance represents a formidable economic powerhouse. AFEMO’s 60 member companies command an aggregated turnover of approximately €600 million and generate an indirect economic impact of €1 billion. By securing this partnership, IEG ensures that its entire jewelry portfolio, including Oroarezzo in Tuscany, JGTD in Dubai, and SIJE in Singapore, will benefit from a unified innovation platform.
Matteo Farsura, Global Exhibition Manager of IEG’s jewelry exhibitions, emphasized the international scope of the deal:
“Our collaboration with AFEMO represents a strategic asset that goes beyond T.Gold… Together, our goal is to build an innovation platform spanning all our B2B events, capable of promoting knowledge transfer and supporting the international competitiveness of companies throughout the supply chain”.
As the luxury jewelry sector faces tightening requirements around traceability and efficiency, the partnership will heavily prioritize key macro-trends reshaping the factory floor. Trade attendees can expect upcoming editions to showcase the state-of-the-art in:
- Advanced automation and robotic precision.
- Additive technologies and binder jetting for complex geometry.
- Sustainable production processes and novel materials.
- Rigorous quality control and testing solutions.
These technical frontiers will be anchor points for an expanded, high-value seminar and educational program curated by IEG’s Jewellery & Fashion Division.
“In an increasingly complex and competitive international environment, our companies demonstrate every day that industrial vision, quality, and innovation are the key factors for addressing the challenges of the sector”, stated Massimo Poliero, President of AFEMO. “The renewal of our partnership with IEG confirms a strategic collaboration that enables us to monitor, interpret, and guide these markets while strengthening Italy’s leadership in the sector”.
For the global luxury jewelry industry, this renewed alliance guarantees that the road to manufacturing excellence will continue to run through Vicenza.
