Vicenzaoro September, one of the most prestigious events in the international jewelry calendar, is set to take place from 6 to 10 September at the Italian Exhibition Group Expo Centre in Vicenza, Italy.

This highly anticipated event is a cornerstone for the global jewelry supply chain, a sector valued at an astonishing 725 billion euros ($806 billion) in 2023. As the industry looks ahead, leading analysts predict a steady growth of 5% by 2030, driven by key markets such as India and China.

Vicenzaoro September 2024 will feature an impressive array of offerings, from jewelry to watchmaking industry. The exhibition will bring together 1,200 brands from across the globe, making it one of the top three B2B events in the world. From fine jewelry and gemstones to goldsmithing, diamonds, pearls, semi-finished products, packaging, and visual merchandising, Vicenzaoro September promises a one-stop shop experience for professional operators. This year’s event is particularly notable for its temporary halls, designed to provide an all-encompassing experience while the construction of a new hall continues, scheduled for completion in 2026.

The exhibition is meticulously organized into six distinct districts, each catering to a specific segment of the jewelry supply chain. The ICON district will be the hub for high-end jewelry, featuring renowned names such as Crivelli, Palmiero, Chantecler, and the Morellato Group, which recently signed a licensing agreement for the production and distribution of Karl Lagerfeld-branded jewelry and watches starting in the Fall/Winter 2024 season.

The LOOK district will highlight contemporary jewelry brands that are setting new trends in the industry. For those interested in the intricate craftsmanship behind goldsmithing, the CREATION district will be a must-visit, showcasing companies that specialize in manufacturing, components, and semi-finished products.

In the ESSENCE district, visitors will find a dazzling array of diamonds, precious stones, and colored gems, with exhibitors including Gruppo Miranda and Maison Garaude. This district will also feature top cameo and coral artisans, such as Vittorio Fiorentino and De Simone Fratelli.

For those focused on branding and presentation, the EXPRESSION district offers a wide range of solutions in packaging and visual merchandising. Completing the exhibition’s comprehensive offering, the Palakiss delivery hall will cater to those interested in ready-to-wear sales.

Vicenzaoro September is not just about jewelry; it also has a dedicated space for contemporary watches in the TIME district. This area will showcase a range of prominent watchmaking brands, including U-Boat, Locman, and Junghans. The district will also feature exciting new entrants such as Paul Picot and Jacques Philippe, alongside established names like the Morellato Group, which will present brands such as Maserati and Sector No Limits.

The “Watches of Italy Selection” project, in collaboration with Watches of Italy, will highlight innovative Italian micro-brands like Ichnos and Venezianico. This section of the exhibition underscores the growing importance of contemporary watchmaking within the broader jewelry industry.

The global jewelry market is immense, with revenues from precious gems alone reaching $33.2 billion in 2023. The diamond sector is even more lucrative, generating $140 billion in retail sales, while gold jewelry brought in $184.85 billion. Fine jewelry, encompassing a range of high-value pieces, was estimated at $366 billion. The wristwatch market, which includes everything from traditional timepieces to modern smartwatches, was valued at approximately $64 billion.

Vicenzaoro September is a true reflection of these global trends. The event highlights the robust demand for gold jewelry, particularly in markets like China and India, which together account for a significant portion of global consumption. Italian exports have seen remarkable growth, especially in Turkey, which has become the top market for Made in Italy jewelry, with exports soaring to 1.3 billion euros in the first quarter of 2024.

This year’s edition of Vicenzaoro will also host international collectives such as the Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association (HKJJA), India Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), and France Francéclat. Additionally, there will be strong institutional representation from several Italian regions, including Veneto, Sicily, and Campania, further emphasizing the event’s importance as a hub for both local and global industry leaders.

Running concurrently with Vicenzaoro from 6 to 8 September, the VO’Clock Privé event will offer free entry to the public and will focus on contemporary watches. This event will feature the latest market innovations, along with talks and technical seminars aimed at watch enthusiasts.
