MIRBAD BRINGS EGYPTIAN NOSTALGIA TO ABU DHABI THIS RAMADAN

The Mirbad pop-up is back for its 18th edition, taking place from 6 TO 10 March 2025 at the cultural landmark, Manarat Al Saadiyat. This year, the event shines a spotlight on Egyptian nostalgia with the theme ‘Mirbad: The Night and its Stars,’ celebrating the timeless charm of Egyptian cinema and culture through a fresh, modern lens.

Mirbad has evolved into one of the UAE’s most eagerly awaited events, blending tradition with contemporary creativity. By creating a space where both local talent and renowned international brands come together, Mirbad offers a curated platform for artists, designers, and entrepreneurs to showcase their works and interact directly with Abu Dhabi’s vibrant community. The five-day event, held in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), promises a rich experience that goes beyond shopping. Visitors can look forward to an immersive cultural journey that includes high-end fashion, homeware, fine jewellery, and an impressive array of art pieces.

Over 120 brands, both local and international, will feature in this year’s pop-up, from local names such as R’A Signature, Maveroc, and Oud Al Khoori, to international brands including L’Atelier Nawbar from Lebanon and Flabelus from Spain. These exhibitors will present a selection of exclusive themed collections, offering everything from evening gowns and bespoke jewellery to artisanal candles and luxury perfumes, each inspired by this year’s Egyptian cinematic theme.

For those seeking more than just shopping, Mirbad’s offerings are sure to delight. The event’s entertainment lineup includes live oud performances, interactive workshops ranging from candle-making to crochet and bracelet-making, and an immersive film experience with a vintage cinema corner showcasing clips from the golden era of Egyptian cinema. Guests can also enjoy a holographic performance of the iconic Oum Kalthoom, which will transport visitors into the heart of Egypt’s cultural legacy.

As with every Mirbad edition, there is a deep sense of community spirit. The event continues to uphold its philanthropic commitment, having raised over AED 1 million for charitable causes in previous editions. This year, proceeds will benefit the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation and the SEDRA Foundation, both of which are dedicated to supporting humanitarian initiatives across the UAE.

Mirbad will be open daily from 9 PM to 2 AM, providing a perfect opportunity for visitors to embrace the spirit of Ramadan, discovering unique treasures while celebrating culture, creativity, and giving back to the community.

Mirbad’s 18th edition is a perfect blend of nostalgia, creativity, and community spirit, offering a unique experience that resonates with the heart of Abu Dhabi this Ramadan.
