As the world of horology continues to evolve at the crossroads of tradition and innovation, few events match the scale, energy, and influence of the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and its premium showcase, Salon de TIME, from 2 to 6 September at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), in partnership with the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Ltd. and the Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades & Industries Ltd., this year’s edition embraces the theme “Our Time. Our Moments”. A timely reflection of a global industry in motion, balancing heritage craftsmanship with new technologies, sustainability with style, and exclusivity with accessibility.
With its signature EXHIBITION+ hybrid model, the 2025 fair offers both a dynamic physical presence and an extended online matchmaking platform, Click2Match (running 26 August to 13 September). This dual approach ensures that buyers and exhibitors alike can connect efficiently across borders and time zones.
The Watch & Clock Fair remains a vital one-stop sourcing platform for every sector of the watchmaking supply chain. From complete watches and clocks, to OEM smartwatches, machinery, parts and components, packaging, and trade services, the show caters to both mass-market and luxury segments with equal finesse. The iconic Pageant of Eternity segment, in particular, will once again draw attention to the finest in finished watchmaking.
For connoisseurs of fine watchmaking, Salon de TIME offers a more curated, elevated experience. Divided into five themed zones, this section celebrates the world’s most respected and emerging horological voices:
- World Brand Piazza: A treasure trove of limited editions and rare finds from internationally celebrated marques.
- Chic & Trendy: Fashion-forward brands such as Ice-Watch (Belgium), Infantry (Japan), Quantum (Turkey), and CAUGHT (Hong Kong) turn up the volume on style and youth-driven aesthetics.
- Craft Treasure: A salute to mechanical mastery, this zone highlights intricate timepieces from houses like Memorigin (Hong Kong), Seagull and Shanghai (Mainland China), and SAGA (US).
- Renaissance Moment: Evocative of Europe’s classical elegance, expect timeless design from Pierre Lannier (France), ROAMER (Switzerland), and Lilienthal Berlin (Germany).
- Wearable Tech: Oskron (Germany) leads the charge in merging horology with next-gen smart technology.
What sets this year apart is the expanded access to the public. Salon de TIME will remain open to both trade buyers and general visitors for the full duration of the fair, inviting wider engagement while retaining its exclusive tone.
Beyond the showcases, a rich lineup of industry forums and networking events positions the fair as a key platform for thought leadership. The Hong Kong International Watch Forum (2 September) will gather leading global associations to assess trade performance and strategize for resilience. Meanwhile, the Asian Watch Conference (3 September) will dive into pressing topics including ESPR regulations, sustainable product lifecycle management, and the long-term value of independent watchmaking.
The fair also shines a spotlight on design innovation through the 42nd Hong Kong Watch & Clock Design Competition, held under the themes “Believe In Yourself” (student group) and “Memorable” (open group). Winning designs will be showcased at the fair, with one outstanding student entry awarded the Made-to-Sell Award, receiving full production support and launch at the HKTDC Design Gallery.
For brands, buyers, distributors, and media professionals, the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and Salon de TIME are a pulse check on the global timepiece market, a forecast of trends, and a forum for shaping the future of watchmaking.
As the industry embraces digital disruption, environmental responsibility, and new consumer expectations, Hong Kong continues to rise as a city where time is reimagined. Mark your calendars and see you at the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair 2025 & Salon de TIME
from 2 to 6 September 2025.
