The Swiss watch brand has become the partner of the prestigious Marina Di Porto Cervo, and at the same time is opening 2 Hublot boutiques: One located in the legendary Hotel Cala Di Volpe, and the other in the Harrods Prestige Village at the heart of the Marina.
It is the first time that the Marina has played host to a such an initiative, across the port and for the entire season:
A large Hublot clock on the marina’s main pontoon will welcome the movie stars, millionaires and jetsetters from across the globe who stop at Porto Cervo on their superyachts throughout the summer, mini-clocks in strategic locations around the marina with the same design, dozens of Hublot flags fluttering in the wind at the water’s edge, all the staff and sailors employed by the marina sporting Hublot colours, including the twenty luxury white tenders, the small launches that welcome visitors onto the water each day, which now also feature the Hublot brand, and also 2 new Hublot boutiques opened in the legendary Hotel Cala di Volpe, and at the heart of Harrods Prestige Village in the marina: Porto Cervo is on Hublot time!
“The Costa Smeralda is synonymous with quality, beauty, prestige, relaxation, joie de vivre, happiness and freedom. These are all qualities that we are aiming to perpetuate through our art. A Hublot watch is not created simply to display the time. Most importantly, it is an object displaying quality, beauty, prestige, relaxation, joie de vivre and happiness. This is why the partnership between Hublot and Costa Smeralda has such resonance!“, states Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot.
The Costa Smeralda does not only host the most select soirées, it also boasts magnificent beaches, unrivalled in their beauty, and delightful intimate little coves. On the north coast of the Italian island of Sardinia, the Costa Smeralda is at the heart of the Mediterranean and at the crossroads of the sea routes used by the superyachts.
The fairytale started, as all good fairytales should, with a prince… Fifty years ago, Prince Karim Aga Khan arrived in Sardinia, transforming it into the destination of choice for jetsetters from across the world.
The best French and Italian architects were hired to create the small village of Porto Cervo from the ground up. The skills of famed golf course architect Robert Trent Jones were also employed to design a world-class golfing destination, the Pevero Golf Club. Deemed to be one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world, it hosts a number of major tournaments, including the prestigious Italian Open. The Pevero now also features Hublot clocks placed in strategic locations, emphasising the club’s sporty chic and luxury side. Time has passed, but the Costa Smeralda remains a unmissable stop for global celebrities who love to get to together at the famous Cala di Volpe as night falls on the village.
